We’re located in the Friedman Building, room 436/438 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/n6Neuofm8FU8cM8H9).
Once you are inside the building, you can take the elevator to the 4th floor and turn left, we are on the left side of the hallway right before the bend. If your appointment is on a weekend, one of our staff members will meet you at the lobby on the 1st floor.
To get to the Friedman Building:
If you are driving, we have three parking suggestions:
- UBC hospital parking lot – recommended on weekdays
- Strangway parking lot – closest to our lab, but often full on weekdays
- University Blvd lot – usually has the most availability, a slightly longer walk

UBC hospital parking lot
- Accessed by Wesbrook Mall (https://maps.app.goo.gl/yDs5tMisms6h1fxH8). Maximum parking 2 hours. To drive to this parking lot: if heading south down Wesbrook Mall, turn right; if heading north, turn left.
- To walk to the Friedman building from the parking lot, head towards the sidewalk that is on the opposite side of the parking lot from Wesbrook Mall (Picture 1)
- Once there, head right, down a ramp until you reach an opening (Picture 2)
- The Friedman building (and entrance) is directly across (straight ahead) from this point (Pictures 3 & 4)
- Once inside, the elevator is reached by turning right and passing through a set of doors. The elevator will be on your right hand side
Strangway parking lot
- This lot is not directly visible on Google maps (https://maps.app.goo.gl/KmqNbisDhNpUj2HH9). It is the closest to our building; however, please note that it is often full on weekdays.
- You can access this lot by driving south down Wesbrook Mall, and looking for a ramp on the right immediately after the intersection of Wesbrook and University Blvd
- The entrance to Friedman is directly next to the parking lot:
University Blvd lot
- Accessed by University Blvd (https://maps.app.goo.gl/J3JaASurn9FSLK7h6). Drive down University Blvd almost to the bottom of the loop, turn right:
- To get to the Friedman Building, walk back up University Blvd until you reach Scotiabank (~5 min).
- There is a covered walk-through between Scotiabank and Shoppers. Walk through, and down the ramp into the parking lot.The Friedman Building entrance is directly across from the walkway/ramp.
If you are walking, navigate to the South-West side of the intersection of Wesbrook Mall and University Boulevard (where the Shoppers Drug Mart is). Walk South along Wesbrook Mall and continue until you see the sign for “Friedman Building”. Turn right to take the ramp between the Oral Health Centre and Shoppers Drug Mart, towards a parking lot. Continuing straight, you will find the entrance to the Friedman building to your left.
